You are probably worried.

You are worried about what’s going to happen to your driver’s license. How you will be able to drive to work.

If you are charged with an second offense OWI or higher, you are worried about having to serve jail time.

“What is going to happen to my insurance? Will I have to pay a fine? What is going to happen to me in court?”

In short, this OWI charge is a big problem.

Things you don’t want to deal with:

  • If this is not your first offense, Going to jail for an excessive time
  • Losing your driver’s license
  • Going to court yourself
  • Your car insurance skyrocketing
  • Paying a high fine
  • Having to install an ignition interlock device in any car you drive

Even if you think you are technically guilty, we can help.
I’ll let you in on a little secret…

Four Important, Little-known Things Cops
Probably Wish You Didn’t Know

Even if you believe you are technically guilty, it might be possible to fight your charges. You might think “Hold on, Sasa, you don’t understand…”

“The officer said I failed the OWI field sobriety tests!”

So what!? What did you expect the officer would say?

The truth is: Field Sobriety Tests are designed to make you fail! Nobody sober ever passes them in the eye of the cop.

That is why we need to review the video of your stop. Did you do as bad as the officer claims? Often times the video shows that the officer exaggerated certain things in the police report.

“But my blood/breath was above the legal limit!”

Breath and blood tests are not 100% accurate.

We need to review the maintenance records from the machine that was used to test your blood or breath.

You would be surprised how often we discover mistakes or issues with the testing procedure.

“I admitted to drinking…”

Drinking and driving is not illegal in Wisconsin.

The prosecutor has to prove that your ability to safely drive was impaired. Just because you drank alcohol does not mean you are automatically guilty.

Cops Make Mistakes!

When it comes to OWI investigations, cops have to follow a certain, strict procedure from beginning to end.

We discover many mistakes we can use to our clients’ advantage by carefully reviewing all police reports, dash cam videos from the stop and all documents.

You made a mistake…

Good people make mistakes. You made a mistake. Haven’t we all?

You owe it to yourself to have an experienced OWI attorney review your case. There might be a way out of this. Don’t just accept the charges.

And if after a careful review it turns out that the charges cannot be fought, I will make sure that your small mistake, has small consequences.
